Finding Quality Claims Management Assistance

Most insurance companies have more claims than they can reasonably handle, which is why wise companies seek professional claims management help. Unfortunately, however, not every claims management team is as qualified as the next, and it’s important that you choose the company that helps you wisely. What should you look for in a claims management service?

Well, for starters, experience is incredibly important. Not only should the company itself have several years of verifiable experience in the insurance industry, but it should also have a high standard for the experience level of those it hires.

The company should also not be overworked and should ideally have less work than what is considered average for the insurance agency. While that might sound counterintuitive, a claims management team that isn’t overworked is a claims management team that will always be able to help you when you are overworked.

One great team that meets all of these criteria and then some is HC Adjusters, which you can always call on for qualified, expert help whenever you need it.

Nationwide on How to Avoid Commercial Insurance Claims

Nationwide recently released a helpful list of how businesses can avoid many commercial insurance claims. The list was divided into several categories—many of which the average business owner wouldn’t have thought of as a claims risk—where business owners often face claims. The list included areas such as claims related to improper lighting, stair related accidents and falls, spill and wet floor related claims, floor and carpet related claims, outdoor walkway and parking lot claims, and miscellaneous claims.

While the list included many helpful tips on avoiding claims, some of the most helpful included tips such as regularly checking restrooms and refrigerator areas for water spills—a rule that can be applied to most any area, and avoiding the use of extension cords in public areas.

Following tips such as those offered by Nationwide can greatly help to reduce commercial insurance claims, but unfortunately, it likely can’t prevent them altogether. If you find yourself dealing with a claim you don’t know how to handle, contact HC Adjusters for help.

Midwest Overrun with Insurance Claims

According to recent reports, the south Milwaukee area of Wisconsin has been inundated with insurance claims, most of them related to the extremely cold, sub-zero temperatures the area has been experiencing this winter. A day in the life of a professional insurance adjuster in the south Milwaukee part of the state has been a busy one lately; that’s for sure! Record amounts of snowfall have led to an immense increase in automobile accidents. And, to make matters worse, the especially cold temperatures have caused many a burst pipe.

With so many winter emergencies happening so regularly, south Milwaukee has found itself ill equipped to deal with all the claims coming its way. Right now, the average wait for a professional insurance adjuster to handle a claim is as long as four days, leading to many disgruntled insurance customers.

Hopefully, you’ll never find yourself quite as backed up as the south Milwaukee area currently is, but if you do, know that you can always call on HC Adjusters for help handling your claims.

Nebraska Among the Top Sufferers of Catastrophe Losses

When it comes to catastrophic events, some states are hit harder than others. In 2013, Nebraska experienced some of the worst losses in the nation due to catastrophes. The state, which was hard hit with much more than its fair share of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and severe hail, racked up an astonishing $773 million in property insurance claims in 2013 alone. Amazingly, however, the state is still standing, and
efforts are being made to rebuild all that was lost, thanks to the help and hard work of insurance companies, volunteers, and concerned citizens.

Fortunately, not all states have to deal with such severe property insurance claims, but when these kinds of claims do come up, and your business is forced to deal with them, HC Adjusters is there to help. Whether you need regular help or only require help when business gets especially busy, it’s nice to know you have a trustworthy, reliable organization to call on for assistance.

Lon Anderson Joins Sams & Associates of Arizona

English: Shell Pt.,FL.,7/18/2005--Insurance ad...
Sams & Associates is a claims handling company that offers service in Arizona, and it recently announced that it has added Lon Anderson to its team as an independent insurance adjuster. Anderson is quite the catch for the company and for the position because he has almost 35 years of experience within the field. Past employers include State Farm Fire and Casualty Company where he served as a property and casualty adjuster and as claims supervisor and claims superintendent.

The newly named independent insurance adjuster spent 21 years with State Farm, and, before that, earned an undergraduate degree in business management and a minor in economics from Sonoma State University.
Unfortunately, if you’re not in the Arizona area, you won’t have the pleasure of doing business with Anderson, but if you’re in  Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, or New Jersey, you can do business with a company that hires professionals of the same experience level and overall caliber—HC Adjusters.

28 Oklahoma Homeowners Suing Their Insurers

When catastrophe strikes, one of the first things that happens after the disaster is over is that a catastrophe claims adjuster is called in to assess damage and determine the validity and amount of insurance claims. Unfortunately, however, people aren’t always satisfied with the decisions rendered by their catastrophe claims adjuster.

This fact couldn’t be truer for 28 homeowners in Oklahoma who are suing their insurers. These Oklahoma residents were all people who suffered losses after a series of tornadoes made their way through central
Oklahoma in May of last year. The homeowners, who are all suing Farmers’ Insurance Group, claim that the money they received as a result of their claims is not sufficient for rebuilding their homes or creating new lives for themselves.

Of course, it’s impossible to keep every single person happy when it comes to insurance claims, but HC Adjusters does strive to create a satisfactory arrangement for all parties involved, including the insurance company and the person filing the claim, whenever a catastrophe occurs.

New Laws Affecting New York Property Claims Adjusters

New York passed an act—Act 5775—on January 1, 2014 that affects public adjusters, including public property claims adjuster professionals. The act prohibits any public adjuster from receiving a referral fee for his or her services. Furthermore, the act disallows public property claims adjuster professionals from having any kind of ownership interest in any companies, specifically restoration companies or repair companies, that are working on the claim at hand. The only allowed exception to this rule is when any compensation or relationship between the adjuster and the organization is fully disclosed and approved of by all parties.

Acts like this one are good steps toward ensuring that all public claims are handled fairly and justly, but you won’t need the protection of a formal act when you choose to entrust your business’ needs to the most trustworthy, reputable company around: HC Adjusters.

Public Insurance Adjuster Arrested for Arson

A public insurance adjuster operating in the Miami-Dade area of Florida was recently arrested for allegedly participating in the arson of several homes. What was the reason behind the alleged arson? Investigators believe the adjuster, a man by the name of Jorge Fausto Espinosa Sr., was hoping to earn more than 2 million dollars from insurance companies as a result of claims related to the fires. In addition to the charge of attempted arson, Espinosa is also charged with wire fraud. He wasn’t alone in his actions either; he had the help of Felipe Ruiz, who was recently sentenced to eight years in prison on convictions of insurance fraud and Medicare fraud.

Obviously, with cases like this one, it can be difficult to find a trustworthy insurance adjuster to handle claims relating to your business. You never have to worry when you choose HC Adjusters, however, because it hires only the most experienced, professional and trustworthy adjusters to assist your business with its insurance claims needs.
