Pennsylvania River Towns Facing High Flood Insurance Costs

It’s no secret that Pennsylvania is home to many river towns, such as Wilkes-Barre. Obviously, these homes face an increased risk for flooding, causing their owners’ flood insurance to often be quite high. In fact, some homeowners in Pennsylvania river towns report paying more than $7000 per year for their flood insurance.
While one would think that residents of these towns would be jumping for joy at President Obama’s recent announcement of lowered insurance premiums for those who receive subsidies from the National Flood Insurance Program, they’re not getting too excited just yet. That’s because there is speculation that insurance premium rates will still rise for those in Pennsylvania flood zones—more than 34,000 people. The measure, they are saying, is just delaying what is to come.

Still, the lowered rates may cause some to temporarily take out flood insurance, in which case your business may not have enough professional insurance adjuster workers available. If you are in need of more professional insurance adjuster services, know that HC Adjusters is always happy to provide you with a Pennsylvania professional insurance adjuster.

Could Homeowners Catch a Break on Flood Insurance Costs?

In South Mississippi and other parts of the country that are prone to flooding, flood insurance is an absolute necessity. Unfortunately, however, flood insurance can often get quite costly; even policies that are initially affordable often grow more and more expensive over time due to rate hikes. Fortunately for homeowners, Congressman Steven Palazzo recently introduced a flood insurance relief bill, which was passed in the senate. However, the bill still has yet to be voted on by the house.

The bill aims to keep flood insurance rates reasonable and to stop companies from offering low flood insurance rates that they gradually raise over time. If the bill passes, that could mean an increase in the number of people securing flood insurance and the number of people filing related claims. Obviously, these people will require the help of a professional insurance adjuster, and if your company isn’t equipped to provide enough adjusters to assist them, you’re likely going to need some outside help.

Fortunately, you can think of HC Adjuster as your go-to spot when you need a professional insurance adjuster or several. In fact, any time you get backed up or require any extra help, it’s the place to go!

Midwest Overrun with Insurance Claims

According to recent reports, the south Milwaukee area of Wisconsin has been inundated with insurance claims, most of them related to the extremely cold, sub-zero temperatures the area has been experiencing this winter. A day in the life of a professional insurance adjuster in the south Milwaukee part of the state has been a busy one lately; that’s for sure! Record amounts of snowfall have led to an immense increase in automobile accidents. And, to make matters worse, the especially cold temperatures have caused many a burst pipe.

With so many winter emergencies happening so regularly, south Milwaukee has found itself ill equipped to deal with all the claims coming its way. Right now, the average wait for a professional insurance adjuster to handle a claim is as long as four days, leading to many disgruntled insurance customers.

Hopefully, you’ll never find yourself quite as backed up as the south Milwaukee area currently is, but if you do, know that you can always call on HC Adjusters for help handling your claims.
